Data and financial risks are one and the same.

We process thousands of data items every day, and most money now moves using the same protocols as emails and documents. We treat the two risks as one.

SH Professional Services Ltd, trading as Tlam, maintains a framework of policies and procedures covering the legal, physical and technical controls involved in managing information risk. That framework governs how your information is handled, who can reach it, and what happens if something goes wrong.

In practice

• Access to client data is limited to the people who need it to do the work, and is removed when they no longer do.
• Staff, contractors and suppliers are bound by confidentiality obligations and process data only on our instructions.
• We have defined procedures for identifying, containing and reporting a suspected personal data breach, including notifying you and the regulator where we are required to.
• Client money handling is separated from general office processing, with the controls our regulated clients are required to evidence.
